Possible applications
TETRAMAX® as tetracycline hydrochloride is a part of “bismuth-based quadruple therapy” (or classical quadruple therapy) regimens for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection.
Besides that this medication is also used for:
– Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia).
– Urogenital infections.
– Severe forms of acne (as part of combination therapy).
Method of administration and dosage
TETRAMAX® should be taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals, as food products, particularly certain dairy products, may interfere with its absorption. The tablets should be taken with water.
The dosage and duration of treatment are determined individually by the physician, depending on the nature and course of the disease..
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tetracycline hydrochloride and related antibiotics, as well as to local anesthetics (lidocaine, procaine); fungal diseases; systemic lupus erythematosus. Pregnancy. Breastfeeding period. Patients under 12 years of age. Liver and kidney diseases with pronounced functional impairment.
